The system has been designed to perform three basic functions

  • Integrated monitoring of the systems and local units and any events taking place in the facility. If on site different local (alarm, fire, anti-attack, ventilation, access control, control etc.) systems operate independently, control involving monitoring and analyzing of their operation can be difficult and labor-consuming not to mention lack of information exchange between them. When using the integrated monitoring all the information "flows" in real time through the computer system and are presented of the displays of the corresponding computer monitors providing the operator with the complete real-time image of operation of the facility enabling him to immediately take action, in emergency situations. In this situation a part of tasks performed by the operator can be taken over by the computer system and performed automatically.

  • Automatic managing and monitoring the operation of the local equipment and systems with full control by the system operator. In everyday operation of many units no operator’s intervention is necessary. They can operate in a fully automatic mode after prior setting out the operating scheme to be followed, and any modification of the scheme can be done in a very simple and fast way by the trained user’s personnel without the need to call the special service personnel. Naturally, the operator can take the control over the system operation at any time during operation.

  • Management of particular units carried out directly by the operator(s) from the control terminal. This is an operation scheme, which requires proper number of system operators capable of taking specific decisions, however ensuring that each decision is taken by a person having proper qualifications. Naturally, his each decision is recorded in unmodified form in the database along with his ID and precise (up to a second) time. Additionally, some of his decisions require (apart from placing in the reader his personal ID in a form of RF card) providing the access password (double control based on: “I have sth and I know sth" principle). When one of the system operators is in danger, which presents a risk of taking control over the system by unauthorized persons, his functions can be locked by remote log-off (from another operator’s terminal) and taking back his rights to operate the system.
  • Operation of the system: simplicity and intuitiveness
  • Examples of subsystems created under SAMS or operating under its control on the
basis of MECO controllers and any external equipment or systems
  • Sams system advantages
  • Recording the events (in particular, those requiring the operator’s
    acknowledgement or approval)
  • Decisive process
  • Description of the operator and visualisation stations
  • MAJORDOMUS system purchase and implementation
  • Software module descrpition
  • Cooperation of the SAMS system with external equipment or systems
