Communication between external equipment or systems with the SAMS system takes place via system controllers. Controllers, depending on the type, have a defined number of transmitter inputs or/and outputs. They collect signals from external equipment via inputs and transmit them to the system and via outputs they influence operation of local systems and equipment. Therefore, there are practically three methods of co-operation with external equipment:
It is obvious that the system allows for any interfacing of equipment and local systems among each other which allows to provide practically any system of relations, e.g. if an alarm is activated, electricity supply is disconnected in the fire centre (in power circuits defined beforehand), an shower system is activated, a stand-by power supply system is activated, exit door or smoke flaps are opened, and if a window is opened every day (for ventilation purposes) central heating supply is cut off in that room (or air conditioning is switched off) and mechanical ventilation equipment is stopped/ switched on. Such co-operation with external equipment causes a considerable reduction of costs of operation of a building. basis of MECO controllers and any external equipment or systems acknowledgement or approval) |
