a) Access and door state control system
- User identification and taking action according to the assigned scope of authorization,
- Automatic reaction of the system to the specific events e.g.: doors open - turn on the light (when it’s dark enough), music, no access - send the message via the sound system to this zone etc.,
- Doors state control: doors open, open too long, not open despite granting admission, prised open (alarm!),
- Granting access to particular rooms or places on request after prior acceptance by the operator,
- Remote (from the PC level) opening of doors, gates etc. by the system operator,
- Recording in the database all the events connected with controllers, providing date, hour, ID number, system reaction etc.,
- Event reporting (single controller, group of controllers).
b) Media supply control system. Control of provision of utilities (electricity, water, central heating, etc.) and their meters. Control of ventilation and air conditioning equipment and systems.
- Communication with the sensors and measuring equipment,
- Communication with actuators,
- Full visualization of current states of the sensors and units on synoptic charts on monitors, control and operator’s terminals,
- Operation in the automatic mode (temporarily, conditioned or temporarily-conditioned) with possibility to take control by the operator over the actuators at anytime,
- Operation in the manual actuator control mode by the operator,
- Operation in the alarm mode in emergency situations with notification of applicable service personnel,
- Recording of all events in the system (change of sensors status, turning on/off of actuators, decisions taken by operators with operator identification and precise time of the event etc.).

c) Alarm/fire/antiattack system The alarm system is activated in emergency situations such as: fire, intrusion, no power etc. It not only speeds up the reaction to the event, by automatic execution of the instructions predefined in the system, but also limits possible errors made by the operator under the stressing situation. Functions of the alarm system:
- Indication of the alarm events in the facility and their interpretation, with special consideration of the location and type of the event,
- Automatic reaction of the system, e.g.: alarm activation, door lock, camera preview of the event location,
- The alarm situation must be verified by the operator, by accepting the message.
- Acknowledgment with the operator’s code is recorded in the event database,
- Allowing the operator to take actions in a wider scope than in non-alarm situation, e.g.: locking out the access to all rooms (intrusion), opening all doors (fire) etc.,
- Acoustic and visual alarm signaling - each type of the alarm activates another voice message and displayed on the monitor screen. The message univocally indicates the cause of its occurrence,
- Direct or indirect (via dedicated control panels) communication with any sensors and anti-attack buttons,
- Direct or indirect (via dedicated control panels) communication with radiolinks for wireless anti-attack buttons,
- Communication with any alarm/fire/signaling system control panels etc. Remote control of their operation. Monitoring and visualization of work of these control panels and integration of local systems within the common facility monitoring, management and security system.

d) Fencing monitoring and perimeter security system
- Direct or indirect (via dedicated control panels or adapters) communication with any detectors, perimeter security barriers (microwave, infrared, laser etc.), with sensory cables and all types of units used for perimeter protection,
- Zoning,
- Control of unauthorized access to the particular zone and automatic reaction to the event depending on the zone no. e.g.: switching on outdoor lighting, camera preview, activation of auxiliary security or notification system etc.,
- Voice and visual messages on fencing access violation, indicating the violation zone at the operator’s station
.

e) Communication with the metal detection system Metal detectors are used first of all for control of people entering the facility. The communication system ensures:
- Independent operation of the metal detector with notification of the operator of the activated alarm and the action automatically taken by SAMS in reaction to the alarm event, e.g.: access lockout, recording in the alarm operation mode by the CCTV system etc.,
- Taking the control by the operator over the detector after alarm activation, until acknowledging it by the operator. The alarm event is automatically recorded to the event database along with the code of the acknowledging operator (resetting the alarm).
f) Sound alarm system Sound system allows distribution of voice messages in alarm situations. Functions of the system:
- Zoning of the facility,
Automatic distribution of the system alarm messages to particular the zone in emergency situations e.g. fire etc.,
- Distribution of the messages from the operator’s stations,
- Distribution of the information messages,
- Use of the sound system as the paging system,
- Everyday use as a music distribution system.
g) Communication with the CCTV system In the case of alarm event the operator can see on the monitor screen not only a raw message on the event presence, but taking advantage of the camera preview he can assess very well the danger level and take proper actions. The monitoring system can serve as additional protection especially of critical facility places e.g.: treasury, server room etc. The operator can see on the monitor screen not only the information on the access request, with the picture of the ID user, but also the face of the person, who has really brought the card closer to the reader. Features of the system:
- Remote switching on and displaying on the monitor screen the image from the particular CCTV camera,
- Automatic switching of the equipment to record the video signal from the slow-motion mode to the continuous image mode from the selected camera in case of alarm event,
- The SAMS operator can take full control over the CCTV equipment.

h) Communication with the mobile phone, internet, fax First of all used in alarm situations to notify persons being outside the facility of the existing situation, allowing to take some specific actions from the place of their current staying. The system allows:
- Send the messages delivered by the subsystems to particular persons using a mobile phone (SMS), e-mail, fax,
- Remote activation of specific functions of the system using a mobile phone (mobile SIM card must be defined in the system),
The subsystems presented here serve only to present flexibility of the system and a possibility to adapt it to meet the requirements of a client. As the user may define configuration of the SAMS system on the level of basic elements, there are no problems or limitations related to a possibility to create own subsystems. Although it requires that a considerable number of parameters be defined, a tailored system which will be adapted to individual needs and conditions of a specific building can be built.
